New Elks Drug Awareness Chairman Opens His Program at the Juneteenth Jubilee

The Elks have always been committed to providing a healthy future for Americaís youth, by educating young people about the dangers of drugs, and providing positive alternatives such as Hoop Shoot and Soccer Shoot
programs. Newly appointed Drug Awareness Chairman, Major Anthony Shea , of Leechburg Lodge 377, is passionate about the need to educate the parents and children of our area on the dangers of drugs. He recently opened his
program with a booth at the Alle-Kiski Cultural Enrichment Centerís Juneteenth Jubilee held in New Kensington. Assisted by Rosemarie Shea and Sgt. Cleon Peoples, he distributed drug education pamphlets, coloring books,
and bookmarks, all provided by the Elks National Foundation. Each child was given a lollypop and a Drug Awareness ribbon to wear. Major Shea is committed to bringing his message to all communities in the A-K Valley.
