On Sunday, December 7th, Leechburg Elks hosted their
annual Memorial Service to honor all deceased Elks and
most especially those local members who passed away
during the previous year. This year, the Elks Memorial
Service fell on Pearl Harbor Day and Exalted Ruler
William Carroll found it fitting not only to honor those
Elks who have passed away, but also all soldiers who
have given their lives for our country. This event was
open to the public. The following members, who passed
away this year, were honored; Bruno Delvecchio, Edmond
Manganelli, William Rudolph, Arthur McConville, Frank
Paolo, John Nadybal, Donald Conner, PER, PDDGER, Henry A.
Underhill, William Hrobak, Vince Putignano, Gary
Stiffler, Charles Pirone, Richard Feeney PER. As their
names were called a white carnation was placed in a vase
on the alter in their honor by the Lodge Esquire, Ronald
Wylie. Following the ceremony, quests were invited for
refreshments in the Antler Lounge.
