Beginner Knitting Class

Written By: Joe Kantor
Story Date: August 06, 2012

If you want to learn how to knit, Leechburg Public Library will offer a fall knitting class for beginners only from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for six consecutive Mondays starting September 17 and ending October 22.
The course will be taught by Evelyn Couslin. Participants should bring either size 8 or size 10 knitting needles and plain yarn of any color. Mrs. Couslin explained that participants will not be able to see the rows they knit if they use “fuzzy” yarn (angora, etc.) at first. She has planned one or two simple projects to begin.
Please call to pre-register at 724-845-1911 by September 3. Seating is limited to eight people.
The Leechburg Public Library entrance is on the Siberian Avenue side of the high school building. The library is open Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
