AARP Driver Safety Course

Written By: Joe Kantor
Story Date: August 06, 2012

Do you see the need for a brush up of your behind-the-wheel skills? Do your friends and relatives see that need more clearly than you do? Would a five percent annual discount on your car insurance for three years be of interest to you?
If you are at least 50 years old, then Betsy Gribik will refresh your skills during the AARP-sponsored Driver Safety Program at Leechburg Public Library September 12th and 19th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The course will cost $12.00 for AARP members and $14.00 for non-members.
In order to get the five percent discount, attendees MUST fulfill the eight hour, two-session certification. Recertification is every three years and is a four-hour class.
Coffee and doughnuts will be served.
The library requests pre-registration as seating is limited to 40. To register by September 3, call the library at 724-845-1911 between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. from Monday to Thursday. The library entrance is on the Siberian Avenue side of the Leechburg Area High School.
