Second AARP driver Safety Course

A second eight-hour AARP Driver Safety Course will be offered in Leechburg Public Library on October 16 and 23, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. each day for drivers who are at least 50 years old. Materials for the course will be supplied by the instructor, Betsy Gribik. Participants will earn a percentage off their car insurance depending upon the kind of policy each person has. Students MUST complete both sessions to receive the insurance discount
The cost is $12.00 for AARP members and $14.00 for non-members. Checks should be made payable to AARP. Coffee and doughnuts will be served and students are welcome to bring a non-alcoholic beverage of choice. A free-will donation to the library will be gratefully accepted.
To register, call 724-845-1911 between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday ONLY. The library entrance is located on the Siberian Avenue side of the high school building. There is seating for 30 people. You MUST register by October 11.
The library will offer the AARP driver refresher course sometime in March of 2013. Details will be available at a later date, but interested persons may register now.
