Several Items for the New Year

Leechburg Public Library is already scheduling events for 2013. Here are a few items to add to your winter calendar.


Photo Shop Class
Leechburg Public Library will offer and Photo Shop class for eight consecutive Thursdays beginning February 7, 2013. The final class will be March 28, 2013. Joe Hesketh of Hesketh Designs and Technical Solutions in Vandergrift will teach the course. He taught a beginner computer course for the library during November.
There are openings for 20 students. The cost is $56.00 per person to be paid at the first session. Make checks payable to: Hesketh Designs and Technical Solutions. To register, call 724-845-1911, Monday through Thursday 3-8 p.m. until December 20, 2012. The library will be closed from December 21 to January 3, 2013, but please leave a message on our answering machine.


Valentine’s Day Stories
Cupid comes to Leechburg Public Library on February 12, 2013, when Sharon Riffer of East Vandergrift will present Valentine’s Day stories and music for twenty children in grades K-4. Riffer presented a very successful Halloween story program in October. Each child should be accompanied by an adult.

St. Paddy’s Magic
Abracadabra go Bragh!
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a magic show at the Leechburg Public Library on March 12, 2013, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Courtney and Jacob Riffer will entertain twenty children in grades 5 through 8 with a variety of illusions. This is LPL’s first magic show and we are pleased to offer this unusual program.
